“Ok! Now you’re the coordinator. Good luck!”
That is almost what I was told when I was appointed a coordinator. I had no idea what it really meant and on top of that, we had an evaluation visit coming that year! I had to figure everything on my own, but thankfully I had help from many people from all around the world, especially via Facebook.
I decided to start this website and blog to document my learning journey and help anyone who may come across it.

ABOUT THE BLOG

This blog is a space for reflection, support, and shared experience—created especially for new and aspiring Primary Years Programme (PYP) coordinators working in early years (age 3–6) and primary school settings (ages 6–12).

When I began my journey as a PYP coordinator in 2020, I often wished there was a clear, honest, and practical reference to help navigate the daily realities of the role. This blog is my attempt to provide just that.

What you’ll find here comes from my own experience: leading curriculum development, supporting teachers, building a collaborative culture, and growing through IB evaluations and school transitions. I share real examples, lessons learned, and practical tools that I hope will save you time—and maybe a little stress—along the way.

Whether you’re brand new to the role, taking your first steps into programme leadership, or just looking for inspiration and clarity, I hope this space serves you well.

Let’s grow the PYP together, one reflection at a time!
